Paradigm Shift

No! this is no extraordinary science or revolutionary science. But ofcourse this is change of the basic form. Transfer of energy (if wit permits that is). Thomas Kuhn used the duck-rabbit optical illusion to demonstrate the way in which a paradigm shift could cause one to see the same information in an entirely different way. I shall be using my blog at a new portal to share and post my own experiences, observations and findings. Just a change of Portal and thats all.

It was earlier http://teetli.mywebdunia.com/

Perhaps thats the reason of calling it a paradigm change

An old Grown Tree falls, Perishes….

A chapter of my family is finally over. It was one thirty in the morning that I returned home from office. Ate something and tried to sleep. Could not sleep for sometime, a sense of chaos prevailed all over. Tossed here and there in the bed and gradually sleep came to my eyes. It must be seven in the morning that I got up with the alarm call ringing on my cell phone, made some food for my chota moina babu (my cousin), packed it for her lunch and she left for office.

Must be 8.30 in the morning that my cell started ringing. Could not believe for a while what my ears listened to. My Thamma (grandma) is no more. She complained bouts of uneasiness in her chest, slipped a few spoons of water that my mother and father poured in and breathed her last at my youngest brothers’ (they are twins, gems of our eyes) lap. 7.30 in the morning, Hindu calendar’s Ekadashi day, 22nd of December 2008, and thus passes the oldest living being of my family. What etches the heart more is that we lost our Grandmaa but Father lost his Maa.

Me and my li’l angel (sister studying in MP) are the unfortunate ones, could not see granny on her last moments. She shall be there at home during the funeral, but I shall remain the same unfortunate one, for, I won’t be able to turn up (This is the hefty price that you pay for staying away from home, plus professional commitments and the link ups there after also enchains you sometimes). Could not see her during her last breathe, making up to in the funeral would be just a formality (these are the sops by which I somehow stray my heart).

New Year is ahead, so is Christmas (remarkable for my family because it’s my mother’s birthday). But this New Year would bring in a vacuum that this physical world will never be able to substitute. Every New Year we would say Thamma Happy New Year, to which she would reply Happen-Ear (to pronounce exactly would be Happe Ne Yaar). I still can’t say what exactly Happened to my Ears when I heard that she was no more. Perhaps it just Happens Yaar!

To go by Buddha, it is all the chains of birth and rebirth, and to go by Bhagwad Gita it is all in the perishable nature of things; one who is born must die. Death is the most evident truth. But we as ordinary human beings, do we really go by the philosophy when we loose our beloved ones. Never! Just reminiscent of few lines of What Charvaka (School of thought in Indian Philosophy) says ……..

When life is yours, live it joyfully
None can escape death’s searching eyes
Once this body of yours they burn
Where shall it ever return?

The old grown tree has fallen, and has perished now………. Thamma, O Thamma...

Hits and Misses

Began with fits and stars kind of blogging some two years back. Felt that I too have become a blogger. But by chance the old site lost somewhere in oblivion and the remains of the blog were untracable. Tried many hits and misses. But finally the idea of creating an all new account seemed much better an option

For starting with jerk once over all again, yes I too am a fish on this blogspot.

Gross Happiness Product be the new Mantra

2008 has finally arrived. Many aspirations unearth would come to front. Gross Domestic Product may turn to be Gross Happiness product. This is nothing very hedonistic, but of course greatest amount of pleasure for the greatest number of people is something really desirable. New promises be made and efforts be fully made to fulfil those. The very famous " Ek Brahman ne Kaha hai K Ye Saal Accha hai (A priest has predicted that the year ahead is going to be good). But might it not turn to be Ghalib's " Dil Ko Khush rakhne ko Ghalib ye Khayal Accha hai" (Ghalib it is a very good thought to keep your heart feel happy). Optimism is something been long prevalent in human understanding. So this year, a good heart wishes for the Good of the Good and By the good.

Sensitivity of the Insensitive

Rule of the brute
Evacuate those North Indians from Maharashtra, make the thief blind, cut off the hands of the burglar, strip off the apparel from the women's body, and the list will still have rooms for more. Seems that the over sensitive people here are bent on proving that sensitivity is the best proved when insensitivity is meted out.Very recently all the cases of Mob lynching from Bhagalpur to Kathihar to the lanes of UP, Maharashtra and God knows where more. You have all of a sudden an impatient mob ready to blind you even not being sure as to whether you are the perpetrator of the crime or not. Snatching of a chain (proved or not proved, does not matter) all of a sudden forces the unruly mob to turn to a savage thus either blinding the snatcher (so called) or by lynching him. The phrase Eye for an eye and stone for a stone perhaps has never been realised so word to word. Make Blind or cut shoulders for stealing, lynch for n-number of concoctions that one can enumerate. Is that a sign that we are going back to primitive ages (not sure if lynching was prevalent then) where brutes ruled. Or may be this is just a psychological evolution. Then you have the frenzied mob ready to show power on dalit and tribal women and others so deprived. Remember all the channels playing Assam's shame when a tribal lady was stripped by a turbulent mob in Guwahati recently. Then, a woman stripped and beaten up in full public view by people of Jalli village in Warrangal of AP. This list is also a big one anyways. Well in these incidents the mob furore however depicts the parochial male attitude which has to be dealt with humongous arguments and counter arguments. This is the same land where women are worshiped as Goddesses (please remain silent on female foeticide, dowry, molestation, gender bias, ) and see how goddesses are treated. In another instance you have the super sensitivity of Maharashtra's self styled leaders all set to evacuate all the North-Indians from their land (claimed so). Are the bhelpuri wallahs, the street peddlers, autowallahs, so a matter of insecurity that one just gets up on its toes to ouster the victims (or culprits according to self styled leaders) call them whatsoever. No matter how a humiliated life you are leading there, but your fault is that you are celebrating your festivals there, you are making the city dirty and are a threat to the localites for jobs. Means this is a hint that if Indians are being thrown out of Malaysia or America or Canada or England, it will be similarly logical for Indians are not aborigines of those places . For that purpose you have the right to claim since you have green cards. What here then? Any passport visa or green card needed to stay in your Motherland just because it is not your lingual land.At this point, one thing is evident that taking to laws at own hand is something very easy but to find a befitting solution to lawlessness whatsoever is the matter to ponder on. Kant's Categorical imperative definitely says that the nature of a moral act is one which would be the right thing to do for any person in similar circumstances. But again his imperative also says that universality has to be maintained throughout. So there perhaps the sensitivity of the insensitives will not work because this way there would be infinite regress to taking of brutal law.

Whats wrong with this add

The upside down pain of surrogate Advertisement

Well a new definition of surrogate advertisement is what one feels about a lot of add. To take one this time, is the Wild Stone deo spray add, but in an upside down manner this time. No doubt Surrogate add has always occupied the minds of film directors so as to fit in names of add in some of the scenes in their flick. Remember the cocoa cola add in Kuch na kaho (Abhishek and Aishwarya) trying to look for the cap of the drink, Amitabh Bacchan trying to be ICICI bank loyalist in Baghbaan, so many Coffee Day and Barista ads in n number of movies... Bla Bla Bla... While in this (wild stone) add, in the background we have Durga Puja and Dhaakis (Drummers) rigorously beating the drums. Suddenly what comes to probable guess is that it might be some Cycle brand Agarbatti kind of an add. Then the next step is the infatuation (sensual here) that the lady develops seeing the man. Again a probable conjecture that it might be probably to show some kind of a contraceptive or a rubber add. Then you actually proceed to know that it is the deo spray that is turning her imagination wild. Of how she enters into love making with him. Oh how her dreams are shattered to find that day dreaming seldom comes true when he just passes by. And the punchline thus----- Wild Stone, Wild by nature............Interestingly but, the sales of Ray Ban saw a massive hike after the whole crew was shown in Ray Ban glasses in Men in Black. In the classic Peruvian soap opera Simplemente Maria, Singer sewing machines were suddenly in drastic demands in the market, for the character Maria was shown struggling with that machine.Still in dilemma as to call it a surrogate advertisement just following the opposite course? May be... Does durga puja surrogate the add? Or is that the Dhaakis surrogating the add? Or does the deo also give you the additional pill facility (to be extra passionate). So many surmises and the message still not clear. Just incapable of discerning the real message of this add.

Why back terror with to push an idea or thought

Fight a cause with another cause, not with vandalism
Come a Western Celebration day and all the Senas (self styled brigades here )are ready to push forward their rudimentary ideas and opposition against it. Here the context is primarily Valentines day, as the day fall today. Any nook and corner of Bhopal, Jaipur, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad would be breeding with such Gerua Senas (Saffron brigade) who would be ready with sticks to punish those who follow and observe the day. Vandalising Archies, Hallmark shops with an intension so as to send the message that ' We are against Multi National and Western influences'. Will that suffice. NO..... Many more. The point here is Why terror yaar? Just one point of justification to clear why terror is backed by ideas so Hindustani. Who is not proud to be an Indian. But does that mean that horror in Promoting an idea would lead to any kind of a consequence. Will it not breed animosity? If a certain Idea is so strong, should it need vandalism, turmoil or chaos. If one believes that the promotion of a day called Valentines day is a conspiracy hatched by Multi National companies to enter the rich culture such as India, should that mean a violent opposition. And that to booking college girls or boys. The Logic is, Promotion of a day is an IDEA so that cards, gifts confectioneries of the West Sell here. Ok ... An agreeable point.... BUT... But fight the IDEA with another IDEA.. Why fight an IDEA with Terror? Why not give a befitting reply to the MNC. Why beating innocent people, vandalising petty shops. Some kind of an MNC conspires for something and you are ready to fuss with your innocent Indians (India is my Country, All Indians are my brother and Sisters?) Where then is the mutual brotherhood and fraternity. How then will MNCs stop from promoting further Celebrations also ? Because they are just not infringed in whatever they do.A certain philosophy or thought might be not good for the greater well being of individual. True...... Agreed..... Medha Patekar sat on fast and dharna to bring justice for the Evacuees of Narmada. She did not raise any sena to kill , hamper , torture or punish the people who are or will be benefiting from the Dam. Government is accountable and she knows that a fight is always with the one who is accountable not with the one who might be profiting from certain thing. Irom Sharmila is fighting for a cause. Aruna Roy fought and won her cause. Anna Hazare is perpetual in his path. Than whats wrong with the opposer with such a noble cause (Protesting the west)Again, to be very cynical and Pragmatic. Why don't You go to Five star, Luxury resorts and show rich brats, celebrities, stars that YOU OPPOSE..... Why only poor people who are very vulnerable in Parks, Bikes and petty restaurants............

Saif Da Tattoo

Apun ka style hai biru
In Cambodia, tattoos are used for self protection. People in Thailand also emblazon tattoos. Indians have a traditional tattooing system as in the forms of signs, symbols of their religions (May be Om, trident, the swastik sign ). In certain parts of India, tattooing self name is also practised.Very recently noted Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan got the name of Karina Kapoor tattooed on his hand, leaving aside all speculations that they are 'really together' and 'happy'. Media got another hot cake to discuss and reflect. Not that Saif is the only one to inscribe the name of his beloved on his body. Hollywood actors like Angelina Jolie also had the tattoo marks of her former husband (Billi Bob)on her hand. Jolie however has three prominent tattoos on her hand. One Arabic, One Yantra (in pali text as the Cambodians have) and one Latin.Sylvester Stallone also has a tattoo of his wife on his hand. Here however the matter of perpetual relationship gets set into a question mark. Sense of longing definitely leads to such activities. While seriousness might precede such acts no doubt.Saif divorced his wife after living in a thirteen years of marriage. Later he also dated Rozza Catalino and broke up with her in 2007. And now the new Saga has started with Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor which reached its zenith during the shooting of the duo's next movie Tashan(Style). Surmises crops in this time also, that such instances of holding and letting loose could be another probable instance. The thing that would remain forever is the name of beloved Kareena Kapoor tattooed on his hand. Sense, Belonging and Security, that comes handy with the tattoo. Maybe this is Yaara da Tashan!
